Cooking together: Your family & I

The food&being™ seed was planted in me from a very young age in my grandad’s kitchen, so family is a big part of how this concept came to be. Growing up in the Mediterranean means that in my experience, the kitchen is a place of connection and open conversation. I truly believe that good things come from spending time together, using creativity, and having fun - and scientists agree!

Whether you want to set yourselves a new family goal, create an opportunity for some good quality time through intentional family meals or adjust to a change in circumstances, I’d love to support you. I’ll create a bespoke culinary adventure for you and your family (based on 4 or 6 sessions) to help you transform your kitchen into a meaningful, memory-making space, that will transform the way you spend time together.

Recipes outlive us all. That’s why I love cooking in memory of people I love and lost; it allows me to connect with them, their energy, and serve myself with the same nourishment they served me.

As a Certified Grief Educator, I want to support you in your grief journey too. Whether it’s for a special date, a would-be birthday, or just an opportunity to gather the family and celebrate the memory of a loved one, I’ll be there to facilitate a meaningful experience for you and your family.

During our time together (usually set at 90 to 120 minutes), we’ll recreate a cherished recipe, share stories, reflect on the loving imprint our departed loved ones left on our hearts, and make space to remember and honour them with the love and joy they’d want for us. My goal is to create a safe and nurturing space where you can process your grief, celebrate memories, and find solace in the shared act of cooking together.

You are a unique being with unique ambitions and I’d love to get to know you. Invite me into your kitchen and I’ll work with you to create a tailored menu to address your desired area and move you closer to becoming who you want to be.

Together we’ll engage in a combination of sensory cooking, powerful questioning and with the help of a few other special tools from my curated utensils jar, we’ll go on a journey of self-exploration, discovery, awareness and connection.

Depending on location, our sessions will be held virtually or in person. Either way, we’ll use our time together to focus on your agenda and we’ll go at your pace. This is your process, your space, your ambition. I’m here to facilitate, accompany and support you in this life-affirming, creative process.

Whether it’s because you’d like to be more of something or less of another, maybe take on a new role in life or be able to deal with a big change in a different way, I’ll be there by your side with my trusty whisk ready to whip up a new recipe to help you rise like the sourdough starter that you are.

Having spent the majority of a decade being part of the corporate world full-time, I know how important it is to invest in team relationships, to be able to change things up and inspire new ways of thinking.

Cooking can be the creative release that gets you and your team unstuck and ready to take on those challenges, which inevitably come along, equipped with a new perspective and a sharpened sense of awareness. Based on well-loved techniques like the Disney Creative Strategy and principles of Gamification, I’ll structure a workshop with your aims and ambitions at its heart.

We’ll start with a consultation to help me immerse myself in your environment and understand your ways of working. The workshop is typically delivered over half a day (or a series of half days, depending on your needs) and is ideal for small teams who work closely together and have an appetite for new and exciting ways to evolve.

One of the things I love the most about cooking with others is how it brings people together. From time to time, I’ll be running virtual or in-person group workshops. These will either be a one-off event or a series of sessions designed around a theme and delivered over a period of time. Dates and themes will be announced on social media channels, so stay tuned to book your place when the time comes.

Another way of us cooking together in a group setting is to book a private session with me for you and your friends. We will have a consultation session to help me understand what you have in mind and what you’d like to get out of the activity and I will tailor the menu just for you. Whether it’s to reconnect with old friends, celebrate a birthday or occasion, facilitate deeper conversation or simply to spend some time bonding with loved ones, these private sessions are a great way to learn more about each other and enjoy some delicious, lovingly prepared food together.
